Noted for her artistic ability in her youth, Pennock was given tutoring in oil painting, at the age of 12. Continuing that training, Carol received an Associate of Fine Arts degree, Mount Aloysius Junior College, Cresson, PA and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, College Misericordia, Dallas, PA. A career teaching art included junior high and elementary school level instruction. Currently, she conducts occasional workshops.

Pennock is now residing at her home, the Back Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast in Solomons, Maryland. She often uses her surroundings for inspiration. She enjoys expressing the drama of color caused by the changing light and the transparency of shadows. Carol works in oils, watercolor, colored pencil and stained glass. She currently works from her studio in Solomons and displays her work throughout the Inn. MORE
